While household market opening in Latvia is still under question and most likely it will not take place on April 1st this year, we believe it is worth looking at a larger picture to see what future will bring to all end consumers located in Latvia.
Average Nord Pool Spot (NPS) system price in December was 32,66 EUR/MWh while in the Baltic countries prices fluctuated between 36,84 EUR/MWh in Estonia and 37,48 EUR/MWh in Latvia and Lithuania. Prices in Latvia and Lithuania had been equal for all hours since the opening of Latvia’s price area on June 3rd.
