Membert of the Board
Education:
Kaspars has received BSc degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. Currently Kaspars is pursuing MBA degree at RTU Riga Business School.
Experience:
Kaspars has experience in manufacturing (Latvijas balzams, the largest producer of alcoholic beverages in the Baltics) and state administration (Investment and Development Agency of Latvia) where he worked with large FDI projects, but the greatest impact Kaspars had while working for Estonia’s national energy company Eesti Energia where he participated in creation and development of Latvian subsidiary Enefit. Since 2008 while being Head of Energy Sales Kaspars has accumulated considerable experience in electricity trading, as well as in energy sector overall. Kaspars was the first in Latvia who signed spot-price-related contracts already in 2010, took responsibility for issuing Baltic market reviews, as well as directly concluded more that 150 electricity contracts worth several tens of million EUR.
Being more interested in demand side and end consumers, Kaspars founded Resource Control Group in 2011. In parallel Kaspars is active social worker by helping to merge and shape opinions of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on energy-related matters.
